Dust Legs of the Barrens of Gor

So you want to trade with the Dust Legs of the Barrens. Here is some information that you will need to be successful at your venture.

First off, we are of the Barrens and any laws that you are used to, do not exist in our land. Once you cross the Ihanke, Border of Wands(lances), you are under the law of the Red Savages of Gor. Pay close attention to the map at the tp to land to know approximately where we are in comparison to where you have come from. Also, take note, that panthers did NOT enter the Barrens. Panthers did not leave their territory for fear of being 1. enslaved and 2. losing their territorial rights to another panther group. Talunas also did not enter the Barrens. Talunas were no where NEAR the Barrens. They are from the Jungles of Schendi.

Next, no more then 5 wasicu (non-Red Savage) per group may enter at any one time. We do not allow wagons. Any wagon that enters will be attacked prejudicely and all will be killed or enslaved. This is per the books.

Once you have crossed the Ihanke, you will walk a ways until you find a small trading camp. This is as far as you may travel. To go further without invite from the Dust Legs Chiefs you are inviting trouble. No wasicu woman should come to trade without a warrior as an escort. Take firm note of this as all wasicu women are seen as inahan. Simply a matter of being collared versus uncollared. The trading camp will not protect a wasicu woman should she travel alone.

Now, when you come to trade, bring real visible roleplay items to trade as we will also provide real visible items to trade back. Also, know that we do not speak the Gorean language. We speak our own. Each tribe of Red Savage has their own language. Dust Legs do not speak Kaiila nor Kaiila speak Dust Legs. Per the books, the Dust Legs has some words that are similar to the Kaiila language, but mainly the language is different.

When you speak with us, we will use a variety of methods to speak back. Perhaps we have an inahan that speaks Gorean with us. Or perhaps we will use sign language. Or perhaps, just perhaps, one of our people learned some of the language. You will never know which you will come across. This adds to the roleplay.

Once you have entered the trading camp, check to see if a Dust Legs Akicita (Warrior) is online, send a smoke signal (IM) to let us know that you are there ready to trade. Then let the roleplay begin!
